Dr. S. García Galán has a Master and a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering. At present, he is an associate professor (Profesor Titular de Universidad) in Telematics Engineering in the Telecommunication Engineering Department of the Universidad de Jaén. He is an Advisor of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MEIC), appraising research projects for the Spanish National Assessment and Prospective Agency (ANEP) in the field of Electronic Engineering and Communications. He is an author of a patent and of more than 100 publications, 24 of which are included in the Journal Citation Report (JCR), and belongs to the editorial reviewer board of more than 10 international journals indexed in the JCR. In addition, he has carried out more than 150 technical projects of Common Telecommunication Infrastructures. Currently, he is the Dean of the Linares School of Engineering at the Universidad de Jaén.
